Hey Folks ! On the Download-page of www.davinci-dv3.com you get: 1. The SM6010 Instruction Manual (SM6010_UG.PDF) 2. The SM6010 Pinout (SM6010.PDF) 3. A Hexmonitor /-editor (EDX.DOC, EDX.EXE, File_ID.DIZ) 4. The same program as ZIP-File 5. This story in german and english ! OK. What can be done by that ? The Instruction Manual is a detailed description of the SM6010 and contains the complete instruction set. On your "Yellwo CD" which should come together with your DV3 you will find in "Load/Operating System/" the two files N0518v20.bin 704 Kb and NPLv111.bin 16 Kb. These are SM6010 coded programs - machine code. To examine and to watch this code you need a Hexmonitor which will be able to read files. "Norton-Commander" or "PC-Tools" are including such programmes. If you donīt have such a program, you can use the Hexmonitor mentioned at 3./4. Itīs shareware and the information of program and author are located in EDX.DOC. Using the Instruction-Manual (chapter 8) you are able to trans- late the codes in SM6010 Assembler language. Thatīs a first step to see, how the SM6010 works. But, only using a Hexmonitor, it will become quite hard for you to get deeper inside the code. For automatic translation of the code to SM6010-Assembler we need a Disassembler to do that. I wasnīt able to find one until now. But the Instruction Manual with the Instruction set is the base, to programme such a Disassembler by yourself. If one of you guys will find something of interest (e.g. how to get characters on the LCD-Screen or the input-routine) you should give me a mail ! Maybe everybody of us could examine a special part of the operating- system and the results can be presented on the DV3-Page ? Good luck ! Alex (dv3master@davinci-dv3.de) 25.05.2001
